Charity of the Year

NARS is Norfolk's emergency medical charity, responding to over 2000 callouts per year. Their team of volunteer Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and Emergency Responders provide hospital level care in critical situations. They receive no government funding and rely on public donations to stay operational.

Founded in 1970, this Dereham based charity now have over 50 clinicians, operating a fleet of six emergency blue light vehicles. They respond to 999 calls across Norfolk, bringing lifesaving equipment and medication to the scene of emergencies.

With the pressure higher than ever on their services, NARS are delighted to have been selected as the Charity of the year for the East Anglian Clean and Green Awards 2027.
